Smoke Long Stories

1884, a poem: Day 3 (09/11/12)

This house was built in 1884
This house was built to last
Not “built to last” like the cars and trucks in loud commercials
The wood will rot differently than a computer chip malfunctions
When the nails rust, nail v2.0 will not be available to update to
Old computers, they are obsolete
Old homes, they are antique
A ghost will stay in a home
Unlike the specter that rings in your pocket and causes you alarm
I seems like your personal Casper (TM) even needs something a little more tangible
Needed to know hand and hammer built this house
This house was built to last
This house was built in 1884
